Cash Parrish - “I Plan to Sell my Home Care Agency”

 

Cash’s main purpose for opening his home care agency was to grow it and sell it for a profit. Having the right technology in place to help him get there was imperative.

This is a composite customer based on several real-life Rosemark clients to show you how Shoshana Technologies and its customers interact.

In 2009, Cash Parrish signed up with us for home care scheduling software before he had any clients or caregivers. He painstakingly prepared his business model before he actually opened his doors. He got his referrers in place and most of the operations ready to implement. Cash had a very clear idea of where he was headed and what tools he needed to get the job done well and efficiently. Part of his business plan was to eventually sell the business.

After carefully putting all the pieces in place, his was able to hit the ground running. It was only a couple of months before his first clients were being cared for.

Jumping forward in time, Cash has grown his business to over 30,000 billable hours and opened 2 other locations. Rosemark Home Care Management Software and the Rosemark staff were there to help all along the way. Over the years, we at Shoshana Technologies have helped to support and train over a dozen office staff at Cash’s agency.

Venture Capital in the Home Care Space

After almost a decade of running and growing his agency, Cash Parrish was contacted by an investment group that was looking to add a 3+ million dollar home health agency to their portfolio of businesses. They begin negotiations and within the next few months the deal was sealed. Cash’s hard work and diligent planning finally paid off. He happily sold his business just as he had planned. He stayed on for one year to run the business, ensuring a smooth transition to the new company. It was important that the transition move forward with as little disruption as possible. It was also important that his clients and employees were well taken care of. He then stepped away from the business.

Frankly, this scenario does not always go well for us at Shoshana Technologies. It has happened that the new owner has another system in place and do not want to use Rosemark going forward. But the great exporting tools in Rosemark make it a much simpler transition to the new system. This makes any agency much more appealing to any buyer. In the case of Galactic, Rosemark remains the central operating system by taking care of current staff and the new, enabling operations to continue running smoothly and efficiently.

Retirement?

Cash left Galactic Home Health Agency to enjoy a comfortable retirement and is thinking of starting another business. After all, he recently celebrated his 48th birthday. The world is his oyster. Congratulations Cash! Here’s to setting goals, keeping them in sight and making them happen.
