With 2024 fast approaching, we wanted to take a moment to look back on this past year and highlight some of the things that excited us most, so we’ve put together a 2023 Rosemark Recap. Rosemark Recap for 2023

From our new Rosemark Caregiver App, to home care industry trends, and insights we collected from attending industry events, this past year was filled with so many exciting changes and challenges. Let’s take a look!

Customer-Centered Rosemark Updates

When it comes to adding new features or making updates to the Rosemark System, the main thing we try to keep in mind is how these changes can positively impact as many of our customers as possible.

With that said, we also have to stay on top of compliance demands that are regulated by each state, especially in regards to Medicaid and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) and various state aggregators.

In 2023, we made vast improvements and efficiency updates based on requirements by the states of Georgia, Missouri, and Pennsylvania. Changes to Sandata, Tellus/Netsmart and HHAeXchange integrations were in response to changing needs in documentation, data organization, and reporting.

As the 21st Century Cures Act compliance evolves, each state expands the kind of information they want and makes adjustments to how that information needs to be sent from vendor partners like us.

We also expanded our Medicaid EVV integrations into the States of Delaware and Utah! Now our agencies in both states can stay compliant, and provide great Medicaid services.

Rosemark continues to implement these changes well ahead of state deadlines, so our agencies can focus on care.

In addition, our Visiting Angels partners expanded with an important employee leads integration, and we were excited to help streamline the process of caregiver recruitment and hiring.

New Rosemark Caregiver App

The 2023 Rosemark Recap would not be complete without mention of our new app! We’ve been practically shouting from the rooftops about how excited we are about the launch of our new Rosemark Caregiver App.

The feedback we’ve had from our BETA testers followed by users after the official launch has been extremely positive, and we couldn’t be more excited with your reactions.

As we move forward in 2024, expect to see continued improvements made to the new Caregiver App. And we want to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers who’ve provided invaluable feedback that helped us finetune this beautiful new app.

Our goal with the new Caregiver App is to make things as simple and straightforward as possible for your caregivers. In turn, this should facilitate less calls to your administrative staff with questions and less support needed day-to-day for caregivers.

We know how valuable your time is, and we hope this new app gives you more time to spend doing other things, like building your business and providing more care.

Recap of 2023 Home Care Industry Trends

We attended several conferences this year including state conferences in Missouri and Pennsylvania, as well as national conferences like HCAOA and Visiting Angels.

The repeated theme at each seemed to be centered around how caregivers are more important than ever. Hiring and retaining caregivers is a challenge, but also a necessity.

Beyond that, proper training and education of caregivers and other home care staff members is an essential component of that retention piece.

Educating caregivers has become even more important for home care agencies due to the increased tightening of rules and regulations related to Medicaid and EVV. Providing on-going education and professional development can help caregivers feel like the valuable team members they are.

Rosemark Recap of our Partnerships

Another thing we are very proud of is solidifying partnerships with reputable home care industry vendors we feel could be a good fit for our customers.

Finding the right partners is time consuming and requires a lot of research. Rosemark took the initiative and vetted vendors in the industry, finding several that we trust to do right by our customers.

Some of those we partnered with this year include:

  1. Paradigm – providing help with billing the Veterans Administration and now Medicaid
  2. Polsinelli – POSH offers a home care industry-specific dashboard for agencies who need legal help, forms, and other documentation to stay compliant with state and federal laws as well as frequent industry updates
  3. Synergi – helping our agencies get the right tax credits they legally qualify for
  4. Tapcheck – allows your caregivers to get paid faster
  5. CareAcademy – provides important training for your caregivers and staff
  6. HCAOA – bringing you updates and  insights on legislation in the home care industry as well as educational meetings and conferences at state chapter and national levels
  7. Home Care Pulse – bringing you the 2023 Annual Benchmarking Report and offering an integration with HCP’s dashboard through Rosemark

Looking Forward to 2024

It feels like 2023 was jam-packed with excitement, from software updates and new features to the launch of the brand new Rosemark Caregiver App.

Develop Partner Relationships

As we move forward in 2024, we’ll continue to find relevant industry partners we believe could benefit your home care agency. As always, it’s up to each individual agency as to whether they need or want to utilize those partner services, but we’re happy to cull through the list and make solid recommendations.

Get Involved

We’d also love for more people to join our Rosemark Connects: Home Care Industry Forum, a group that comes together quarterly to discuss industry trends and business challenges affecting agencies.

This forum was created with a very specific purpose: to let home care agencies chat with their peers in an open environment where they can feel comfortable and confident in asking questions and getting honest and relevant feedback from others who are walking the same path they are.

As opportunities arise, we also host Focus Groups from time to time. Turnout for our Focus Groups has always been great, but we would love to welcome new faces!

If you’re trying to find a way to get involved in Rosemark, Focus Groups offer you a chance to get in front of your software partner, your home care agency peers, and discuss possible updates, features, integrations, or other issues.
